After years of delivering world-class trails, unforgettable race days, and shaping the UK mountain biking scene, this legendary venue is closing its gates. But before that happens, there's one final moment to be part of its story.
The final Root 1 race will take place on 12th April, with the park officially closing on 13th April 2026.
For anyone who's ridden Rogate, you already know what makes it special. Those perfectly shaped berms, technical rock sections, and flow trails that just keep pulling you back in for another lap. Whether you've pushed yourself on the blacks or just enjoyed the rhythm of the reds, Rogate has always delivered.
This isn't just the end of a riding spot - it's the pause of a community hub. Rogate has been a place where riders progressed, friendships were built, and future talent found its start line. The races, the coaching, the atmosphere - it's all played a huge part in UK MTB culture.
April 12th is the moment. Expect a packed day. Big energy. Riders from all levels showing up for one last send. Whether you're chasing a podium or just want to soak it all in one final time, this race is going to be something special.
But this isn't just a farewell. While Rogate is closing, it will be back - we just don't know when yet. And when it does reopen, we'll be ready. We'll keep everyone updated, and you can bet we'll be organising an Opashred opening day ride, rolling in with the Wollys_on_Wheels crew to bring the energy straight back to those trails.
So for now, this is about showing up and sending it properly. Bring your mates. Bring the noise. Bring everything you've got. Let's give Rogate the send-off it deserves.
